Ryan J Boyd
Ryan joined the group in 2023 from the University of Washington where he got a B.S. in Atmospheric Science (climate and chemistry) and studied methane plumes with satellite imagery. His research at Princeton focuses on air pollution in East and Southeast Asia, including source of atmospheric ammonia and how it contributes to fine particle formation. He is also interested in the policy applications of the group's work, including bias correcting models in SE Asia, improving national emission inventories and studying the possible environmental effects of a hydrogen economy.
He is currently an HMEI-STEP Fellow co-advised by Professor Wei Peng. Outside of research, he enjoys soccer, hiking, biking, and video games.
