In January 2026, the Princeton team successfully completed a joint sampling project with collaborators at the Indian Institute of Technology - Madras, in Chennai, India. The Zondlo group integrated their mobile lab sensors with low-cost air quality sensors from IIT-Madras on a mobile 3-wheel electric vehicle (pictured below). Sampling included urban and rural sampling, landfills, and industrial areas of Chennai. The project culminated with the IIT team visiting Princeton and giving talks as part of the Metropolis Initiative.
Congratulations to both the Princeton and IIT team on their months of hard work! Please read more about our collaborator, Professor Nikhil Bugalia at IIT-Madras' page.
